Corey Flanders (they/she)
Corey is an Associate Professor in the Psychology and Education Department at Mount Holyoke College, and the director of the WISH research team. Corey conducts research with LGBTQ+ community on mental and sexual health equity and access, and in particular focuses on the health and wellness of bi+ community. Corey also enjoys made-for-tv sci-fi monster movies, and hanging out with their kiddos (2- and 4-legged, alike).
Rose Fitzgerald (they/them)
Rose is a freshman at Mount Holyoke College. They have no clue what they're going to major in, but would like to pursue a career in sex education or sustainable agriculture. Their interests outside of school include painting, knitting, roller skating, smelling candles at Target and gardening.
Nina Fulmer (she/her)
Nina is a junior at Mount Holyoke College majoring in Psychology and minoring in Sociology. She is interested in community and organizational psychology. She is an E-board member of Circle K International, and a SAW mentor. In her free time she likes to go on long walks, spend time with her dog and five cats, and list to podcasts.
Tianyang Gao
Tianyang is a senior at Mount Holyoke College studying Psychology and Philosophy. She would really like to find out how to put these two fields together, only to realize that she enjoys applying an interdisciplinary method to her learning. She is interested in Bisexuality and its intersectionality with another aspect of an individual's identity. In her free time, she enjoys doing puzzles and eating food.
Milena Insalaco (she/they)
Milena is a senior at Mount Holyoke College majoring in Psychology and Philosophy whille pursuing a 5-College Certificate in Queer, Trans, and Sexuality Studies. She hopes to pursue a doctorate in clinical psychology and specialize in sex, sexuality, self-acceptance, and LGBTQ identity. Outside of academics, Milena is involved in other activities such as the Mount Holyoke Glee Club (Co-President), the Animal Welfare Association (President), and the Lavender Committee. In their free time they enjoy reading, gardening, and trying new vegan food.
Kelly Lam
Kelly Lam is a lab instructor in the Psychology and Education department at Mount Holyoke College. She also graduated from MHC in May 2022, as a double major in Psychology and Statistics, and has been in the WISH research team since Fall 2020. Kelly is interested in applying social justice and positive social change to her research. Her research interests mainly revolve around identity and the intersection of identities. These also include the mental health and wellbeing of marginalized communities, particularly pertaining to racial, gender, and sexual minorities. During Kelly's free time, she enjoys sending letters to friends, playing board games, and going on walks.
Tingshu Liang (she/her)
Tingshu Liang is an international student and a senior at Mount Holyoke College. She is majoring in Psychology and Education. Her interests are in mental health and development. She is currently the E-board member in MHC Psychology Association and ODM dance club. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, watching Anime, and playing video games.
Cecelia Myers-Rafferty (she/her)
Hi! My name is Cecilia and I use she/her pronouns. I'm a senior with a major in Psychology and a minor in Critical Social Thought. My main research interests are in mental health and the impact stigma can have on anyone's mental well-being. A fun fact about me is that I love to tie-dye and draw in my freetime :)
Yui Sakai (she/her)
Yui is a senior at Mount Holyoke College double majoring in Psychology and Gender Studies. She is also completing the Five College Reproductive Health, Rights, and Justice Certificate. She is interested in people's experience of reproductive health and information access and how that impacts people's health and well being. Yui has been the concertmaster for the Mount Holyoke Symphonic Orchestra since her first year. She likes to play the violin and watch YouTube during her free time.
Jiayi Shen (she/her)
Jiayi is a junior at Mount Holyoke College. She majors in Psychology & Education, minoring in Asian Studies. Her research interest is mental health and she wants to be a counselor in the future. In her free time, she is a huge K-pop fan. She also enjoys reading and dancing. She wants to travel to a lot of places in the future.
Katherynn Susa (she/her)
Kat is a senior at Mount Holyoke College majoring in Psychology and Education and minoring in Sociology. She is also a liaison for the Psychology and Education department. She is interested in mental health issues and trauma in children. During her free time, she enjoys being in her friends and family’s company, watching shows, and playing with her dog -Teddy.
